JUUNOO is a pioneering Belgian scale-up, founded in 2017 by Chris Van de Voorde, dedicated to promoting a circular economy within the construction sector. Our mission is to produce ‘the wall that pays off’, where JUUNOO walls yield a financial return at the end of their lifecycle instead of incurring costs. Our circular business model offers a sustainable alternative to the traditional disposable economy, with walls that are quickly repositionable or resalable to JUUNOO. With a team of 30 FTE across 3 countries, we are in a dynamic growth phase, ready to scale our operations within the EU and beyond.
The Challenge
Location: HQ Zwevegem, Belgium
To manage rapid expansion and diverse projects, we are looking to strengthen our management team with a Head of Operations. As the Head of Operations at JUUNOO, you will be responsible for developing our EU operational flow and preparing the company for the next stages of growth. You will ensure clear processes and structures that result in the firm’s growth. You will actively participate in the continuous improvement of operational processes and systems, evolving production towards vertical integration.
- Translate the company strategy into concrete operational processes.
- Ensure proper processes so that all projects and orders leave the warehouse on time and in full.
- Place a strong focus on growing the gross margin through the expansion of the machine park and strategic purchases.
- Lead 4 departments: production, technical draftsmen, technical advisors, and purchasing, comprising a team of 7 - 10 dedicated colleagues. You play a critical role in determining training needs and evaluating and monitoring employees.
- Manage the vertical integration of 2 essential products in the EU.
- Also responsible for defining operational KPIs and taking timely action when necessary.
- Build strong relationships between internal and external parties, fostering open communication and teamwork.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales to consistently grow our installer base quarter by quarter.
- In the medium term, you will be responsible for setting up international warehouses worldwide.
What we expect
- Ability to develop people, coach performances, and prepare for future roles.
- A Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with a focus on priorities.
- Quick learner, able to efficiently assimilate new information.
- Stay calm under pressure and maintain high standards for personal and team performance.
